LOCAL CRICKET DERBY AT SARISBURY GREEN

This weekend was the local derby matches between
Sarisbury Athletic CC and Burridge Cricket Club, Hampshire being played at one of Hampshire’s most beautiful places – Sarisbury Green – where cricket has been played for generations. It was a pleasure to watch for a short while. I did rescue one ball from the shopping area on the other side of the A27!
Meanwhile at The Hollow at Allotment Road Sarisbury where the first teams were playing Sarisbury won the toss and elected to bat with Samuel Floyd reaching a fluent half century and Josh Hill with a magnificent greater than a run a ball century, with multiple huge sixes. Sarisbury Athletic won by 57 runs.
It was great to see Sarisbury playing at their historic home ground where cricket has been played since the 1700s.
