Fareham in Bloom has been bringing our community together for 25 years. It has grown into a well-known and successful gardening campaign involving residents throughout the Borough and encourages local communities to provide bright and colourful planting schemes.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 the usual format of the Community Gardening Challenge can’t take place this year. But we still want to see your beautiful gardens, displays and creations!

We’re running a virtual Fareham in Bloom competition. Submit a photo of your garden, veg patch, hanging basket, window box or something else you’re proud of in your garden and you could win a prize. Don’t worry if you don’t have a garden. There are six categories you can enter ranging from gardens to window boxes, so there is something for everyone.

You can enter one of the six categories by submitting a photo and short description of your outdoor creations. There will then be a public vote and a judge’s vote, with winners receiving a prize!

Best Garden – garden of any size, front or back garden

Grow Your Own – fruit/veg patch or plant, allotment

Commercial – pubs/businesses/schools

Something Small – Hanging basket, window box, unusual garden feature, potted plant

Community Floral Display – Your street/cul de-sac, community centre, public service area etc

Kid’s Corner (for children aged 11 and under) – Something the kids have planted/grown, potted plant, decorative stone/area within the garden
